VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR FOR
CHURCH PULVERBATCH
If you are interested in becoming a Parish Councillor, we would be very pleased to hear from you and if you are able to supply the following details to us then we would be very grateful.
- Full Name
- Address
- Date of Birth
- Either a British National Insurance Number or evidence that you may stand for
election as a Parish Councillor

- About you personally
- Details about clubs and organisations you belong to and how you contribute
through your membership in the local community
- Why would you like to be a Councillor?
- What have you to offer the Parish Council and your special interests?
We need to ensure that only valid applicants apply to be a Parish Councillor, and your application will be checked against the Electoral Role. We ask that you enclose a copy of your Council Tax invoice with your application as proof of your address.
This is the first stage of the application process and a redacted version crossing out addresses and date of birth will be circulated before the meeting to Members, asking them to delete it after the meeting. The existing Members of the Council will vote on the applications and should there be more than three applicants for the three Parish Council vacancies in Church Pulverbatch, will be using the using the proportional voting method. If there are only three applicants for the vacancies, then the Council must decide as to whether they consider the applicants are suitable and would have to have a very good reason not to appoint.
Please send your applications either marked Private and Confidential to the Parish Council address as above or use the e mail above which only the Parish Clerk has access to no later than 12 noon on Friday 9th May 2025. The co-option of a Councillor at the Parish Council will take place at the next Parish Council meeting due to be held on Wednesday 15th May 2025, to which it would be beneficial if you could attend. More details about the Parish Council Meeting will be sent to applicants nearer the time.
